Cathrine Disney

CRITICAL ARTIST, DESIGNER, CREATIVE RESEARCHER & WRITER

Cathrine Disney is an alumni of MA Material Futures at Central Saint Martins, London. She is a critical artist, designer, creative researcher and writer exploring the blurring boundaries and entangled the relationships between materiality, emerging technologies and the human species.
In the age of the biotechnological (r)evolution, dawn of the Anthropocentric epoch and current state of global politics; Cathrine investigates what it means to be human in these uncertain times working at the intersection of transformative pedagogies, disability, feminist technoscience, queer arts, spiritual activism and eco-colonialism.
By creating emotive narratives of present, near and far futures through artefacts and immersive experiences, Cathrine intends to raise important questions about the ways in which we live in our contemporary consumer society.
